Why go
Swinging gypsy jazz from a band of international players, with guitar, violin, accordion and bass all unplugged. It suits anyone who loves Django Reinhardt's music or wants a night that feels like a 1930s Paris café.
About this event
Step into a night that transports you to a 1930’s Parisian café and goes roaring into the 21st century. Django Festival All-Stars offer a musical experience bursting with the spirit, swing and soul of gypsy jazz legend Django Reinhardt in what The Wall Street Journal calls “the best jazz show in town.” Led by guitarist Samson Schmitt, son of gypsy jazz legend Dorado Schmitt, this all-acoustic ensemble of international virtuosos radiates joy and passion through blazing guitar riffs, soaring violin, dazzling accordion and deep, grooving bass. DownBeat praises them as “the hardest swinging group,” while George Benson calls them simply “sensational.”
