Community Production ✧ An original PaperMap adaptation of The Wonderful Wizard of Oz Swing music, silver shoes, and a very suspicious night in Wichita. Adapted and directed by Richie Akers Inspired by the novel by L. Frank Baum PaperMap’s fourth community production January 22–February 7, 2027 Wichita, 1943. The factory shift is over, the records are playing, and Dorothy Gale has stopped at the Emerald Tap with her friends. She has an application for flight training tucked in her lunch pail and plenty of reasons she hasn’t mailed it. Then the weather turns. A fall on the stairs, a pair of silver shoes, and a courier with a “confidential envelope” send the evening in a direction nobody expected. The storm has everyone sheltering in the basement tavern. Getting a straight answer out of the people inside may prove considerably more difficult!
