Why was the Electoral College created? How does it work? How has it shaped presidential elections throughout American history? Why has it attracted so much criticism, and why has it never been replaced by a national popular vote? Dr. John Sacher, professor of history at UCF, will explore the history, purpose, and continuing controversies surrounding the Electoral College.
