Come share the diversity of natures sweetness! Registration includes admission to the beautiful gardens before or after class. Instructor: Chris Stalder Space is limited Sample over 20 different types of honey and compare the different tastes and qualities. From Lavender Honey made in Colorado to Sugar Gum Honey from Kangaroo Island, Australia we will travel the world by palate to discover your favorite honey flavors. Local favorites will also "bee"on the menu. Honey Madeline Tea Cakes will be served as the perfect accompaniment for tasting. Learn about the history of honey hunting, beekeeping & using different types of honey. Discover your favorites while learning about the production practices that beekeepers, honey production facilities and honey houses use to bring so many selections to please the palate. Chris will also provide a Belle Isle Wildflower Honey Market and samples. Cash only Great for individuals and groups. Come share natures sweetness! Christopher Stalder is a graduate of the University of Florida and has worked with the U.S. Dept. of Agriculture. He is also an environmental scientist, a butterfly gardener, a backyard beekeeper and a member of the Florida State Beekeepers Association. He offers natural history programs around the state on many subjects including herpetology, butterfly gardening and beekeeping. Participants must withdraw from classes at least five days prior to the start of class in order to receive a full refund or credit. If we must cancel a class, we will make every effort to inform you prior to the class time, and you will receive a full refund or credit. Only those registered for the class will be permitted in the classroom. Childcare services are not provided.
