Drawing from her architectural background, Durrett creates abstract figurative works that blend human forms with botanical elements, crafting a visual language that connects ancestral wisdom with psychological restoration.

Her mixed-media works investigate how environmental knowledge intertwines with mental wellness and cultural identity, focusing on the neck and head as sacred vessels of memory.

Through techniques of pointillism and one-line painting, vibrant flora and architectural elements serve as symbols of resilience, while intricate linework bridges the built environment, natural world, and human consciousness. Each piece advocates for a return to ancestral knowledge as a pathway to contemporary healing.

On View: September 4–December 13, 2026
