Beauty and the Beast meets organized crime in this tense slow-burn romance with scorching spice, thrilling suspense, and life-altering secrets.

My name is Imogen Demotta, and everything I thought I knew was a lie.

I thought Lincoln Knight was my savior. My tortured hero--hiding from the world behind a mask. The man I fell in love with. He opened my eyes to the world and encouraged me to find my true self, unleashing my deepest, most forbidden desires.

He was my knight, and I was his queen.

Then I learned his darkest secret, and everything changed.

He might have removed his mask but he never let me see who he was beneath it.

Now I'm back in the care of my grandfather and the woman who raised me, Larissa. I should feel safe and relieved. Instead, I'm more confused and afraid than ever.

They tell me that Lincoln isn't what he seems. That he was the reason my parents were killed. They want me to help take Lincoln down in service of the Brotherhood I despise. But even if I don't trust Lincoln, I cannot believe he would be capable of such cruelty.

My eyes are open now. I may not know the truth, but I do know everyone around me is lying.

I need to uncover the truth before it's too late, and that means finding my way back to Lincoln. Because he's the key to all of this.

The key to my freedom.
